Meeting with the Ministry of Education

Our organization along with the CDA met with the Ministry this week.  At this time the Ministry is looking to provide some general education to schools to help ensure that staff have some basic knowledge of the disease.  While education and awareness are very important, we will continue to work with the Government to ensure policies are put in place.  Children with diabetes are currently at risk in our education system and much more than basic education is required.  We commend the Minsitry for taking the first step and are looking forward to continuing the dialogue.
